For Crew Connect WA profiles, a professional production credit generally means a minimum of 10 paid working days on the same professional production, with one working day calculated as a standard 10-hour production day.

A single day, occasional day call or very short period on set does not qualify as a professional production credit for Crew Connect WA profile purposes.

Shorter engagements may still be relevant experience and can be included appropriately within your profile, but they will not be presented as a professional production credit.

This distinction helps us maintain consistent standards across Crew Connect WA profiles and ensures the information presented to productions accurately reflects each crew member’s level of experience.

No. You may have training, student productions, short films, attachments, work experience, transferable skills or your first professional credits.

We work with what you have now and professionally structure your profile so it can continue developing as your experience grows.

Once you register, we’ll guide you through the information we need. You can provide your training, skills, experience, credits, headshot and other relevant professional information.

We then curate and structure this into your Crew Connect WA profile and one-page CV.

Yes — and we encourage it!

Your Emerging Crew profile is designed to grow with your career. Send us new professional credits, training, skills or relevant experience throughout your active membership and we’ll update your profile for you.

There is no additional charge for profile updates during your membership.

No. Crew Connect WA is not an employment or booking agency and membership does not guarantee employment, engagement or production opportunities.

Our role is to help you present yourself professionally, increase your industry visibility and build a profile that develops alongside your experience.

No. Crew Connect WA does not act as your agent, manager or booking agent, and we do not negotiate your contracts or rates.

We provide professional presentation, industry visibility, connections and career development support. Any employment or engagement remains directly between you and the production or employer.

Your Crew Connect WA emerging crew profile can be accessed by verified producers, Heads of Department and authorised industry decision-makers through Crew Connect WA, and you can also share your individual profile URL directly with productions and industry contacts.

That’s exactly what we want to see.

Send your new credits to us and we’ll continue developing your profile throughout your membership. When you have established sufficient professional paid or credited experience, we can guide you on whether it’s time to move into the Pro Crew Program.

Yes. You can choose either one annual payment of A$175, or three payments of A$65, totalling A$195.

Both options provide the same Emerging Crew Program membership and benefits.

You can choose not to renew your membership for a further year. However, once we have commenced work on your profile, CV or other membership services, payments already made are non-refundable, including payments made under a payment plan.

This is because your membership includes professional work undertaken specifically for you, including reviewing your information, curating and building your profile and preparing your CV.

If you choose the three-payment option, you are committing to the full three-payment plan for that annual membership.
